How to instruct The Hips Trading Company

Simply click Buy your HIP now for only £200 inc. and follow the on-screen instructions. You will then be prompted to enter your details and then you will be asked some basic questions about the property such as the full postal address, the detachment of the property, number of rooms, approximate age and if the property is freehold or leasehold

The instruction process

1. You visit the website and order online or call The Hips Trading Company office, where a member of staff will take your details, the property details and arrange payment for the Home Information Pack.

2. You will then receive a telephone call to arrange a suitable appointment time and date for the production of the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), which is a part of the Home Information Pack.

3. The Hips Trading Company will then email a property information questionnaire for the seller of the property to complete and email back.

4. Within 48 Hours of the visit for the EPC, The Hips Trading Company will produce an Exchange Ready HIP which can be used to market your property.

5. Once the full pack is complete the full HIP will be emailed to you, this replaces the exchange ready HIP which is issued earlier in the process.

6. The transaction is complete.

Why do you need a HIP?

From the 14 December 2007 every home put on the market, no matter what size, must have a Home Information Pack. It brings together valuable information at the start of the process - such as a sale statement, local searches and evidence of title and from 6th April 2009 the property information questionnaire - which will save you money, time and stress. The Pack also includes an Energy Performance Certificate that contains advice on how to cut CO2 emissions and fuel bills.

The HIPs Trading Co. have a unique online system which will allow you to monitor the progress of your Home Information Pack as and when the necessary strands of information are compiled for your HIP. Once you purchase your HIP online we will send you an email confirming your purchase and your unique user id and password.
